During consultation your injecting practitioner will take into consideration your areas of concern and consider the correct choice of dermal filler for you to achieve your desired aesthetic outcome. In some cases, anti-wrinkle injections will not be suitable nor realistic to use to achieve this, as a result dermal fillers will be recommended.
Dermal fillers contain ingredients that add ‘fullness’ to an area that has permanent loss of structure, while anti-wrinkle injections relax a muscle or muscle group to create a smoother appearance.
Loss of structure is due to a loss of fat pads in a particular area. Common in areas such as lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds, tear troughs or even corners of the mouth (all areas of the face that volume loss has occurred). Building structure to features with filler is common as is replacing lost volume that occurred due to the ageing process. At About Face Medical Aesthetics we pride ourselves in delivering natural results while taking into consideration each patient’s individual facial features creating balanced, subtle results.
We believe in sharing our knowledge during consultation so you feel in control and confident that you can make an educated decision moving forward with your treatment plan.
