What is the iS Clinical Prodigy Peel?
The Prodigy Peel is a professional chemical peel system designed to target concerns like acne, fine lines, uneven skin tone, pigmentation, and dullness. It uses a unique blend of lactic acid, salicylic acid, citric acid, and resorcinol to exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin.
What’s the difference between P2 and P3 peels?
- P2 is a superficial peel, ideal for mild to moderate concerns with minimal downtime.
- P3 is a deeper peel for more advanced pigmentation, ageing, or texture issues, with slightly more downtime and flaking.
Is the Prodigy Peel suitable for all skin types?
It is generally suitable for most skin types and tones, but a consultation is necessary. Those with sensitive skin, certain medical conditions, or recent sun exposure may need to delay treatment.
Does the peel hurt?
You may feel a warm, tingling, or prickly sensation during application. Most people find it manageable, and it subsides quickly. No harsh frosting or intense discomfort like stronger chemical peels.
What does downtime look like?
- P2 Peel: Light redness and flaking for 3–5 days
- P3 Peel: More visible peeling that may last 5–10 days
You’ll need to avoid sun, heat, and active skincare during this time.
How many treatments do I need?
While visible results are often seen after just one peel, a series of 3–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is recommended for long-term improvement.
Can I wear makeup after the peel?
It’s best to avoid makeup for the first 24–48 hours to allow the skin to recover and breathe. Once peeling subsides, you can return to light, non-comedogenic makeup.
When will I see results?
You’ll typically notice brighter, smoother, and clearer skin within 7–10 days, with ongoing improvement over time—especially if part of a treatment plan.
Can I have this peel while pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. Due to the active ingredients and risk of hormonal pigmentation, the Prodigy Peel is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
How do I care for my skin after the peel?
Use only gentle cleanser, moisturiser, and broad-spectrum SPF. Avoid actives (retinol, acids), direct sun, heavy sweating, or exfoliating for at least 5–7 days. Full post-care instructions will be provided.
